This project is the passion project of all passion projects. A dear friend of mine wrote an amazing book and asked me to design the cover of it. I then, of course, read her book and quickly became obsessed. So obsessed I not only designed and illustrated the cover but also illustrated a few more scenes from the novel.

This project expanded my skillset tremendously. Doing so in a way that didn't make it feel like work. Sometimes hard skill growth is uncomfortable, but not here. This was the first time I illustrated fictional characters in this hyper-realistic style. The challenge of this task and my inspiration from the source material pushed me to grow without forcing me to. To this day, it remains one of my favorite books and projects.
